Christmas Comes Early

As you can see in the title we celebrated an early Christmas. With the anticipation of Baby Griffin (due on Christmas day), and a lot of other conflicting schedules we kicked of Christmas last Saturday. We got up early Saturday morning called Coach to come over and opened presents. We had a surprising visit from Graham and Peri. They were on their way to the beach for the week and were so sweet to stop by on there way out of town. The rest of the day consisted of lunch at the nursing home with my Mamaw and going to Ingomar to have Christmas with Coach's family. We had a great day and a very Merry Christmas!!

Holiday Busyness

Graci was a busy girl this past Wednesday. She had 2 Christmas parties and a Christmas program that night at church. Graci had a party at school that I was so glad I got to help with. I had a busy semester that I felt like I missed out on Graci's school life. She would come home talking about her friends from school and I would not know who they were. So, I really enjoyed gettting to help with her party and put face's with the name's she would tell me. Her other party was at Mrs. Jackies house. I did not get to go to it but I know she had a blast. That night was our Christmas prgram at church. Pop and Annie were the leaders of the program and they did a great job. We were a little worried about how Graci and the rest of the 3 and 4 year olds would act. We did not know if they would actually sing the songs or have total meltdowns and bail out. WOW.....it was amazing!! They sang their little hearts out. Especially Allie Montgomery....who knew she had it in her. It was the cutest program ever!! Good job Pop and Annie and thank you to Coppie, Brad, and Sarah for helping.

Pop and Graci

Just about every morning Graci wakes up and the first thing she wants to know is, "Is Pop eating breakfast?" Graci's sweet Pop fixes his breakfast every morning and remebers to add another half of a bagel to his plate for her. This has become a tradition for the two and Graci can not wait to add her two cousins, Griffin and Baby Peanut (don't know if boy or girl yet) to the "Morning Tradition with Pop".

Let's Kick off theChristmas Holidays!!!

BASKETBALL SEASON!!

Last night kicked off the start of Adams basketball season. For some of you who look at my blog and don't know; Adam is the basketball coach at Tupelo MIddle School. He had his first game and Graci and I went (his two biggest fans). Graci made a friend with a little boy at the game who she enformed me is her brother...not sure how that happened... she and I will have to have a talk at some point. He was a sweet boy and Graci had so much fun playing. Adams boys played a good game and won!! I am glad that it do not bother him that his #1 fan was yelling "HEY COACH" the whole time. She did not understand why he did not wave back. We had a blast...can't wait for more games!!!

I did not get to take very mant pictures because it was so dark but these are two good ones that I got. Thank you again Mrs. Judy for taking us. We had so much fun!!

Here Is An Update

Wow...I can not believe that the month of September is almost over. Things are moving really fast these days. I thought some of you who check our blog are thinking "what has happened to these two girls?" Well, things are going great!!! I am so thankful to report that Graci is loving school and going to Mrs. Jackies. She has really been a big girl about having to go somewhere everyday. I am so blessed that she can adjust to change.
School is in full force for me right now. I can not wait to be done with school and hopefully teaching somewhere this time next year!!! I am having a great semester so far and am learning a whole lot. This past week and weekend Graci and I helped Adam and his family move in his new house. He is really excited about having his on house. Graci is also excited about Coachs new house she really loves playing in his backyard. I guess that is about it for now for the update. Maybe my next post will be more fun and I will have some pictures to put up.

Sara Glenn and Graci

Amanda and I have had several people think that Graci and Sara Glenn look like sisters. I have never really noticed it until this picture I took of them the other night when we went to watch Chris' football teams first game. They really do favor each other.

Graci at Open House and First Day of School

I have been crazy busy with school getting started so these pictures are very delayed. Graci is going to Calvary Baptist 3 year old Preschool. She loves her teachers Mrs. Rinehart and Mrs. Betty Gail. This has been a big transition year for Graci and I so I am very thankful that she loves school and her teachers. I can't believe my littlie girl is growing up.

Pontotoc Bodock Twilight Festival 5K

Friday night Adam and I ran in the Pontotoc 5K with three of are friends. The race started at 8:00 that evening. I know that was going to be a challenge becasue I don't ever run that late I am normally in bed by then (I know mylife is not exciting). We had been told that this is known as a challengeing 5K because of the big hills in the race. It was challenging to say the least. We all had a great time doing it but I am not sure if we are going to do it again next year. We stuck around afterwards to hear the results of the race. To our amazement Adam and I both got first place in our age group (Watch out 2012 Olympics here we come) ha ha...jk. Two of the friends that we ran with also got medals. So we celebrated by going to Subway and eating...watch out we are party animals. ha

Our Black-eye & 1st Dentist Trip

Last Thursday our day did not start out the smoothest. Graci is in a routine now where she likes to get up at 6:30 or sometimes a little before....I am thinking about moving her to the Brashier house since they are all great early risers. Its hard for some reason for me to get up 7. I just can't seem to pop out of the bed if the clock is saying 6:30. So, Graci got out of the bed and BOOM, BANG, AHHHH, MOMA!!!! I shot out of the bed. Graci, had trip over her rocking horse and fell on her piano and hit her eye. Well, my first thought was "I hope she is ok" and "great we are going to the dentist this is going to look real good."
After we calmed down from our fall we made it through the rest of the morning and went to the dentist. I will be honest I have not looked forward to taking Graci to the dentist at all and that is probably why I have put it off as long as possible. I decided that we would Dr. Ritter in Saltillo. He is a relative of Sarah's so I figured he must be a good doctor and he was. I was very pleased with Dr. Ritter and his staff. They were great...Graci was not so great. It was a disaster needless to say. I am so sorry to the sweet nurse who tried to clean Gracis' teeth. She tried to bribe Graci with everything to get her to open her mouth for a cleaning and she would not. I had to take her in the bathroom and she got disciplined and that still didn't work. I know that when I left they probably thought I gave Graci that black-eye and were calling DHS because we were not doing good at all. After the dentist I thought it would be a great idea to give Graci and I time to ourselves. I dropped her off and mothers day out and came home to a quite house. I was only able to get one picture that day and yes Graci is smiling in it but please don't let that smile foul you because it was taken before we left foe the dentist. Maybe next go around will be better...I hope.

Wal-Mart Trip With Graci

This morning I needed to run and get a few things from Wal-Mart so Graci and I loaded up in the car and went. I let Graci set in the big part of the grocery cart because I did not have much to get and that is her favorite thing when I let her set there. I was pushing through Wal-Mart not paying much attention to what Graci was doing but I know I heard her carrying on a conversation with someone. I looked down and yes to my surprise she had a 8oz package of Philadelphia Cream Cheese up to her ear talking on the phone. I that point I realized...you know what she can keep talking on that cream cheese phone of hers as long as it gets us through Wal-Mart peacefully, and it did.

Visit with the McRaes & Supper with Sheena & Jarod

Yesterday was a busy day but a great one. Sarah and her 2 kids picked Graci and I up at 7:30 yesterday morning for a fun road trip to visit or good friends the McRaes whom live in the BIG town of Winona. We did not leave Tupelo without a GRANDE white chocolate mocha from the best place ever....Starbucks (thank Adam for your gift cards you gave me). We arrived at Amanda's new house around 10. I will say that there is not much to Winona but the town is full of beautiful old houses and Amanda's house is one of these beautiful houses. It is very old but it has so much character about and the McRaes have added their on touches to it and have made even more beautiful. The kids have not seen each other in over a month that as soon as we walked in Graci and Janey Beth tackled each other on the bed with the biggest hugs ever. Like always Collins was the only boy but he is always such a trooper. It was so refreshing to get to see our friends, let the kids play and catch up on what is going on in each others little lives. Thank you McRae's for letting us invade your house for a day. We had so mcug fun and can't wait to visit again.
We got home from Winona around 5 and Adam and I went out to eat with my newly engaged friends Sheena and Jarod. Jarod has been serving in Iraq since last November. Sheena is my dearest friend who got the best surprise ever when Jarod came home 2 Fridays ago. Her dream came true...Jarod got off his long plane ride and in the middle of the airport proposed. Sheena has been on cloud 9 ever since. Since Jarod has been away the 4 of us have not been able to go out to eat and so this was the perfect time. We ate at Boondocks Grill and shared lots of laughs and had a great time. Jarod will be going back to Iraq next Wednesday and will serve until his leave at the end of November. Please keep him in your prayers as he is serving our Country and his sweet bride to be as she will be anticipating his arrival home. Love you bunches Sheena and Jarod.

These are a few pictures from Graci at swimming lessons and from a cook out Pop and Annie had a couple of weeks ago. Graci loved her swimming lessons teacher Mrs. Haley but she did not love the lessons themselves. She was a great sport. She was excited to go everyday and was excited when her hour of lessons was over. She was not very excited during the lessons. She did not like going under the water and having to swim to the ladder. Her teach was very patient with Graci and the other 5 kids that was taking at the same time. Thank you Mrs. Haley.
My parents (Pop & Annie) added on to the house last year and when summer time rolls around they love to have friends over to cookout. So a couple of weeks ago they had the McRaes, Brashiers, Sam and Misty, and Coach over to eat. We had a lot of good food and laughs.

Last Saturday I went with Adam to his 10 year class reunion. He graduated from Ingomar, which is about 10 minutes from New Albany. It was at Woody's here in Tupelo. I really enjoyed getting to meet some of his friends from his high school days. We had fun and Adam really enjoyed geting to see people he has not seen in years.

Amanda's Going Away Party

Friends

Last Friday night at Sarah's house we had a going away party for the McRae's. For those of you who might look at this and not know my really close friend Amanda and her family are moving at the end of the month. Graci and I are going to miss them very much. I honestly do not know what I would have done these past couple of years without Amanda's friendship and encouragement everyday. We love you McRae's and are so glad that you are getting house that will have plenty of room for us to come and visit. Now that I just looked at my pictures I do not have one picture of me and Amanda form that night...not sure how that happen.

Coach and Graci

Thursday night last week Graci was so tired she had not had a nap that day and wanted Coach to read her a story. He probably didn't get even half way through Skippy John Jones before Graci was out for the count. She had sweet dreams that night...thank you Coach.

Bible School and Some Fun

Last week was one of the busiest weeks for Graci and I. Graci had our churches Bible school everyday last week, I had school every morning in Oxford and had to be there by 8:45, Annie had a cook out for her Wednesday night class, and Graci had a friend come over Thursday afternoon after Bible school. Needless to say it was a great week but I was so glad when it was over. Thank you Annie for taking her everyday so that I could go to school.

2hrs of Swimming

Before....
After...
I have not been able to update my blog foe awhile because I did not have a USB cord for my camera, that I bought from Sarah. So thank you Sarah for the camera and Pop for finding a USB cord. Two weeks ago I took Graci swimming at a family in our churches house. My really good friend Marty and her husband were house sitting and were very sweet to share there pool that they had for a week with Graci and me. We got to the pool around 11 and Graci swam the whole time with the exception of 2 snack breaks. I have come to the conclusion that my daughter is not afraid of much. She would have jumped off the diving board into the deep-in if I would have let her. We had fun, Graci loved it and by 1:00 it was time to go.
